Jessica Diggins (USA), 1. Rank:
„I feel really tired, that was really hard and challenging but it was really fun. I think it was cool because it was anyone’s race and you didn’t know you didn’t know how you would finish. That was so exciting, but I have to say I had the best skis in the whole world, it was amazing, I’m so proud of our team they worked so hard and they gave me some absolute rockets. So a big thanks to them, that was the difference maker. Being able to trust a draft and trust my skis and know they would help me pick up places and get me to where I needed to be, that was absolutely crucial for me out there. So a big thank you. It’s cool because when we win we win as a team. I think watching the race it’s very clear why we are so so thankful for our wax.
I was really doing all I could and really it’s about every second. Because it’s the the tour, for me I was just really going for every second possible. I’m that last climb I thought, okay if I can have the draft of two people, maybe I have a chance, so I pushed really hard over the top and skated back into the downhill, got a little tug. I was just going to see if it was going to work. And I got lucky!"
Frida Karlsson (SWE), 2. Rank:
„I feel good, my body is answering better than in Lenzerheide I think. I had some trouble, I fell twice in this race, so I’m very happy to keep the second place. The Track was really hard, I felt it when I fell, especially my butt. It was a tough race, a hard fight for the positions all the way through to the finish line."
Katharina Hennig (WSC Erzgebirge Oberwiesenthal), 6. Rank:
I think that I really needed the races in Lenzerheide. I had a cold just before and even had to interrupt my altitude training. Therefore I didn’t have the best preparation for the tour. I really felt it two days ago, I really felt it in my bones, I didn’t feel like myself. Of course I was disappointed but I knew the reasons. Over the day yesterday I really tried with physiotherapy and everything that is possible to prepare to get my muscles soft again and thank God I managed to do it. I’m very happy about six place, I never managed this before. I’m just thankful especially after the race two days ago.
Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo (NOR), 1. Rank:
„The first two laps were pretty slow. With the third lap it was starting to pace up a little bit. I was giving everything trying to be in the front today. The downhill was a bit sketchy today and for the last two corners I wanted to take this home.
I was just trying to push you really hard on the downhill like I said it was pretty sketchy today. Form me it was a cool day and nice to be back here in Oberstdorf.“ For shure ist always nice to have the sun back. It was pretty good and a pretty nice day.“
Sjur Roethe (NOR), 3. Rank:
„It was really good, I am supersatisfied by hitting the podium again this year in such an important race für me. I hoped to manage a good result and fight fort he podium. The track today was challenching. It was really icy on the warm up. I was a bit about the rule that we weren´t allowed to do the track in the warm up just 25 minutes in front oft he start. . The ski conditions were perfect. They made a perfekt raceday today.“
